There are certain moments in the life of an institution that become part of its legacy. Moments that remind us why we began this journey and inspire us to dream even bigger. Today, I feel immense pride and gratitude in sharing one such milestone with our students, parents, and well-wishers.
Our school has been officially accepted as a member of the UNESCO Associated Schools Network (ASPnet) under the global umbrella of UNESCO – the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. This recognition is not just an achievement for our school; it is a proud moment for the entire state of Punjab, as we have become the first school in Punjab to receive this honour.
Even more remarkable is the fact that only nine schools in India are currently part of this prestigious global network. Being counted among them is both humbling and inspiring.
What is the UNESCO ASPnet?
The UNESCO Associated Schools Network connects schools across the world that believe education should do more than just prepare students for examinations. It aims to nurture responsible global citizens who understand the importance of peace, sustainability, intercultural respect, and human dignity.
Schools in this network work together to promote four key pillars:
* Global Citizenship
* Sustainable Development
Peace and Human Rights
Intercultural Learning
By becoming a member of this network, our school now joins a community of thousands of institutions worldwide that are committed to shaping a better future through education.
A Collective Achievement
This milestone belongs to every member of our school family.
To our students, whose curiosity and enthusiasm make learning meaningful.
To our teachers, whose dedication turns classrooms into spaces of inspiration.
To our parents, who trust us with their children’s dreams and support every initiative we undertake.
And to our entire school team, whose hard work, commitment to quality education, and belief in progressive values made this achievement possible.
Being part of the UNESCO ASPnet opens exciting opportunities for our learners. Our students will now engage in international collaborations, global projects, cultural exchanges, and innovative learning experiences that connect them with young minds from different parts of the world.
More importantly, it will help them grow into thoughtful, responsible, and compassionate global citizens.
Our Responsibility Going Forward
This recognition is not the end of a journey—it is the beginning of a greater responsibility. As a UNESCO Associated School, we commit ourselves to continuously promoting values that build a peaceful and sustainable world.
Education, after all, is not only about knowledge. It is about shaping character, building understanding, and inspiring young minds to make a positive difference.
Today, we celebrate this achievement together. Tomorrow, we continue our mission with even greater dedication.
With pride and gratitude,
